As a Community Partner with Making Connections-San Antonio, ACCION Texas promotes workforce development and asset accumulation and protection. ACCION Texas provides loan to small business owners who don’t have access to credit from commercial banks. Since 1994, ACCION has provided $17 million in credit through 3,000 loans to small businesses in San Antonio. The organization recently opened a loan office on the West Side. ACCION also works with clients to provide them financial and business training.
The mission of ACCION Texas is to provide credit to small businesses that do not have access to loans from commercial sources. Through its loans and services, ACCION Texas helps micro-entrepreneurs strengthen their businesses, stabilize and increase their incomes, create additional employment and contribute to the economic revitalization of their communities.
